I will be a guest artist at Amichal Lau-Lavie's Yom Kippur service in Tribeca.  I'll be speaking in the afternoon for a short time about the Sufi influence on Medieval Jews, as well as introducing the unlikely, interfaith story of the 11th century Jewish mystic, Solomon ibn Gabirol, whose piyyut "Adon Olam" is sung in synagogues around the world to this day.  We will finish my segment with a Sufi rendition of this classis Jewish-Sufi-Christian mystical liturgical song.
